Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

We are currently an out-of-network provider and a provider for the Step Up (FES-UA) scholarship. We can provide you with a Superbill (medical receipt) to submit to your insurance for possible “out of network” reimbursement. We recommend contacting your insurance company to understand your out of network benefits. Private pay services allows us to begin services immediately and create a fully individualized treatment plan for your child’s needs without eligibility requirements and insurance limitations.

We are currently accepting debit, credit, checks, Health Spending Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Payments are due at the time of service or prior. Checks must be made out to Bright Voices Speech Therapy, LLC.

Please contact us for more information about service pricing.

How do I know if my child needs therapy?

If you feel your child is not meeting their milestones, or is delayed in certain areas of communication, please refer to this resource.

The best way to know if your child needs therapy is to speak with a professional. You can schedule a complimentary consultation where we will discuss your concerns and determine if an evaluation is needed. Seeking advice from a Speech-Language Pathologist as soon as possible is important to give your child the best potential for success. Don’t wait & see!

Does my child need an evaluation?

A speech and language evaluation is important so that we can identify your child’s strengths and weaknesses in certain areas of communication. If your child has completed an evaluation at another facility within the last six months, we will accept that evaluation and begin therapy immediately. If the evaluation was completed over six months ago, we recommend your child participate in a new evaluation to obtain more up to date information.

What are the benefits of private therapy?

  • There is no wait time to start therapy.

  • No referral or prescription is needed from primary doctor.

  • Frequency of therapy sessions is not restricted.

  • No eligibility requirements - everyone qualifies!

  • Treatment is tailored to you and your child’s needs.

Will Bilingualism affect my child’s speech and language skills?

As a bilingual speaker myself, I have dedicated time to researching the effects of bilingualism on speech development. Currently, there is no research that suggests that learning a second language causes speech and language delays. In fact, teaching a child a second language can be beneficial as they will acquire more vocabulary and have more opportunities to use language.
